1. Agreement To These Terms
By using this website, by using our online booking system, or by renting a trailer from Tru Trailer Rentals LLC in Mansfield, Ohio, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or book a rental.
These terms apply to every visitor, every booking, and every rental made with Tru Trailer Rentals, however the booking was made. They sit alongside the rental agreement you sign at booking. Where a term here and a term in your signed rental agreement differ, the signed rental agreement controls that rental.
2. Rental Eligibility
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information at the time of booking, including your name, your contact information, and details about the vehicle you will use to tow the trailer. Tru Trailer Rentals may decline or cancel a booking if the information provided appears inaccurate, incomplete, or fraudulent.
Most modern 1/4 ton trucks are capable of towing around 10,000 pounds, and our car hauler is built to that weight class. You have to factor in the weight of your load aside from the weight of the trailer. Confirm the towing capacity of your vehicle before you book, and call or text us if you want help matching the trailer to your truck.
Identification, licensing and any other eligibility requirements are set out in the rental agreement you sign at booking. Please confirm the current terms there before you reserve.
3. Booking, Rates And Payment
Trailer rentals are booked through the live calendar on this website. The pricing shown to you at the time you complete a booking is the pricing that applies to that rental. Availability is not guaranteed until a booking has been confirmed.
We offer 1 day, multi day and multi week bookings. The longer you book, the more discount you get. No account is required to book. All forms are sent by email and text, so the whole process can be completed from your phone.

Payment timing, any deposit, and the handling of refunds are covered in the rental agreement you sign at booking. Please confirm the current terms there.
4. Pickup And Delivery
Pickup is at our lot at 479 Connor Dr, Mansfield, OH 44905, where our trailer is stored in a secure facility. Pickup is contactless: instructions are sent to your phone by text once your booking is confirmed. Most trailers are ready for pickup within 30 minutes of booking, so same day pickup is available.
We do deliver. If you are within 50 miles of us, we will gladly bring you your unit. Call for a delivery quote before you book if you would like the trailer brought to you rather than picking it up.
You agree to return the trailer to the agreed location at the agreed time, or to be present at the agreed location for a scheduled delivery pickup. If your plans change, call or text us as early as you can so we can adjust the schedule.
5. Renter Responsibilities
Once the trailer leaves our lot, or is delivered to you, you are responsible for it for the entire rental period. That includes:
- Towing the trailer with a vehicle and hitch that are appropriately rated for the trailer and for your load.
- Coupling, chaining, and connecting the lights correctly, and checking them before every trip.
- Securing your load and operating the trailer lawfully and safely, at safe speeds and in compliance with applicable traffic laws.
- Keeping the trailer in your possession and control, and not subletting, loaning, or assigning it to anyone else.
- Returning the trailer on time and in the same condition you received it, along with any equipment supplied with it, such as the spare tire, toolbox and loading ramps.
Before you tow, please confirm that your vehicle, your hitch, and your insurance are adequate for the car hauler you have booked.
6. Cancellations And Changes
You can cancel or modify your reservation up to 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up time without any additional fees. Please contact us by phone or text as soon as you know, so we can update the schedule and keep the trailer available for other renters.
For changes requested inside that 24 hour window, and for the full cancellation policy, please confirm the current terms in the rental agreement at booking or call us at (567) 402-5353.
7. Insurance
Yes, you need insurance. Your automobile insurance should cover anything you tow. You would need to confirm this with your insurer before taking delivery. No special towing license is required for personal use.
It is your responsibility, not ours, to verify with your insurer that your policy covers the car hauler you have booked and the load you intend to carry, and that the coverage is in force for the whole rental period. Tru Trailer Rentals does not provide insurance coverage for renters.
8. Damage, Loss And Theft
Damages to the trailer are not covered by us. Damages are the responsibility of the renter and must be paid out of pocket or through your insurance, depending on severity.
This applies to the trailer itself, to the tires and lights, and to any equipment supplied with the rental, whether the damage, loss, or theft happens on the road, at a job site, or wherever the trailer is parked during the rental period. Report any damage, breakdown, accident, or theft to us right away at (567) 402-5353.
How a specific damage claim is assessed and settled is handled through the rental agreement you sign at booking. Please confirm the current terms there.
9. Liability
Tru Trailer Rentals LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the rental or use of the trailer, including lost time, lost profits, or costs relating to a delayed or interrupted job or move. As the renter, you assume responsibility for the lawful and safe operation of the trailer while it is in your possession, including securing your load and towing at safe speeds in compliance with applicable traffic laws.
You agree to hold Tru Trailer Rentals harmless from claims arising out of your use of the trailer during the rental period, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any right or protection that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
10. Website Use
The content on this website, including text, photographs, and the layout of the site, belongs to Tru Trailer Rentals LLC or is used with permission. You may not copy, republish, or use it for another business without written permission.
We work to keep the trailer description, specifications, availability, and rate accurate, but the site may contain errors or omissions, and availability changes as bookings come in. What is confirmed to you at booking is what governs your rental. Our handling of information you submit through this site is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms, from this website, or from a trailer rental with Tru Trailer Rentals LLC will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Richland County, Ohio, and you agree to that venue.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms stay in force.
